Cicely Carew:
Boston-based artist Cicely Carew uses vibrant color, rebellious mark-making, sweeping gestures, and references to the natural and galactic world in her artwork. Her life as a mother, movement instructor, and nature enthusiast heavily influence her practice.
Carew received her MFA from Lesley University’s College of Art + Design in 2020. Carew’s work is included in the permanent collections of Northeastern University, Simmons University, Boston Art Inc., the Cambridge Arts Council, and Fidelity Investments. Her work was recently featured in the Newport Art Museum’s 2020-21 exhibition “Call & Response” and at the Prudential Center in collaboration with Now + There. She currently resides in Cambridge, Massachusetts with her son.

Juan Escobedo:
Juan C. Escobedo (b.1985, El Paso, Texas) explores personal identity in his art installations, sculpture, and collages. Escobedo primarily creates his art out of cardboard, and he associates this material with his background as a brown, Mexican-American queer male, raised in a low-socioeconomic community along the US/Mexico border. He choses this material as a way to challenge viewers about socioeconomic and racial prejudices and raise awareness about preconceived notions of race and class.

Loretta Park:
Loretta Park is a visual artist and holds an MFA from Massachusetts College of Art and Design and a BA from Bowdoin College. Her work has been exhibited at Shelter In Place Gallery, Boston, MA (2020); New System Exhibitions, Portland, ME (2019); Ray Gallery, Brooklyn (2018), Society of Arts and Crafts, Boston, MA (2017); and Center for Maine Contemporary Art, Rockland, ME (2017). She currently works in the Boston area and serves as a Visiting Lecturer and Compass Faculty Mentor at Massachusetts College of Art and Design.
