DESCRIPTION:Make unique\, expressive handmade papers from various plants while learning the papermaking process. Bring your own fabrics\, threads\, ribbons or flower petals to use in this fun\, experimental workshop. Explore pulp painting and wet collage. No experience necessary.  All materials provided\, but it is recommended that you wear shoes and an apron that can get wet.  Exhibiting artist and instructor Sheryl Jaffe has been exhibiting her work throughout New York and New England for over 30 years.  She studied traditional hand papermaking in Japan and China and has taught papermaking at home and abroad. \n$80/$75 members \n

DESCRIPTION:Learn Gelli printing\, a monoprinting process that does not require a press\, and explore textures and layers by combining materials to make a finished collage. Explore printing on book pages and sheet music\, inspired by the work of Varujan Boghosian on view in the museum. A wide range of tools and materials will be supplied during the workshop. \nInstructor Christine Martell has taught a wide range of techniques for over 30 years. Of all media\, Gelli printing is her favorite topic to teach because anyone can be successful with it at any level of artistic ability.
