Celebrate the beauty of early summer flowers through drawing and watercolor painting. Guided by botanical artist Ellen Duarte, this immersive, daylong workshop will help you sharpen your observational and drawing skills while learning specialized techniques unique to botanical painting. Through hands-on color mixing exercises and step-by-step instruction, you’ll create your own detailed watercolor study of a fresh-cut summer flower. This workshop is designed for all skill levels, from beginners to experienced artists looking to refine their botanical painting techniques. Materials are provided, and participants will leave with a finished or near-complete botanical watercolor. The workshop will take place indoors, using fresh-cut flowers as models. Please bring your own lunch, as there will be a break midday.
