Join us for a special curator-led tour of this exhibition dedicated to the powerful and poetic work of Rockwell Kent. Visitors will gain insight into the symbolism embedded in his imagery, the influence of his travels, and how his art reflects both solitude and social idealism.
One of America’s most celebrated artists, Rockwell Kent (1882–1971) was a painter, printmaker, illustrator, writer, and adventurer whose dramatic landscapes and seascapes captured the grandeur of the natural world. Drawing inspiration from his travels to remote regions including Alaska, Greenland, and Newfoundland, Kent created bold, iconic images that continue to resonate with audiences today.
