Free Fun Fridays comes to the Cahoon! Stop by the Museum for a fun day of activities and art. To kick off the day, from from 10:00am – noon, Face Painting with Becky, 11:00am – 12:30pm, steel drum instructor Amy Hughes and her students will play. At 12:00pm, Puppet Man will appear for an hour and from 1:15 to 2:15 Bubble Man will delight us with his giant, floating, magical orbs under the Blue Trees in the Museum’s yard.
The Museum will be open for free all day from 10:00am – 4:00pm and our current exhibitions, Exquisite Shells: The Art of Sailors Valentines, Valerie Hegarty: Secrets of the Sea, Selections from the Permanent Collection, and The Blue Trees will be on view. Explore the Family Room and learn about why the trees are blue and take a minute to cool off.
Free Fun Fridays are sponsored by the Highland Street Foundation and offer visitors no-cost admission to 100 of the most treasured cultural institutions in Massachusetts. Every Friday, from the end of June through the end of August, multiple sites are open for free.
