Learn Gelli printing, a monoprinting process that does not require a press, and explore textures and layers by combining materials. Experiment using the Gelli printmaking process on fabric, inspired by the colorful designs of Joe Cunningham on view at the museum.  A wide range of tools and materials will be supplied as part of the workshop. Instructor Christine Martell has been teaching a wide range of techniques for more than 30 years. Of all media, Gelli printing is her favorite topic to teach because anyone can be successful with it at any level of artistic ability. She holds a BFA from Rhode Island School of Design and an MS in Education from Portland State University.
