Learn what makes the mermaids of Ralph Cahoon unique and use your observations to create your own mermaid painting. Ralph Cahoon’s mermaids do everything from dancing around the maypole to having a tea party. After looking closely at a selection of Ralph Cahoon’s paintings, focus on copying one of the mermaids featured in his painting Megansett Tea Room. With a relaxed, fun atmosphere, it’s the second in a unique series designed to examine the mermaids of Ralph Cahoon, from a single mermaid dancing to a mermaid sitting in profile and ending with a composition with more than one mermaid.
