Design and create shell artwork in the style of a Sailors Valentine with shell artist Mary Ricker.  Learn how to make a shell flower and get inspired by the sailors valentines on view at the museum. Create your own unique artwork while learning about shells from different parts of the world.  This workshop is for all levels and materials will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own shells.

Mary Ricker is a retired oncology nurse who discovered the joy of learning about, designing and making shell artwork including Sailors Valentines.  Valentines made by Mary have been acquired by the Chatham Historical Society-Atwood Museum.
