Sui Park: Thought Bubbles
August 6 – December 19, 2021
Thought Bubbles part of our past exhibition Floating Imagery by sculptor Sui Park is located inside the atrium, greeting visitors as they come into the museum. Park creates the sculptures by meticulously weaving and connecting industrial cable ties, transforming them into organic and biomorphic forms. Inspired by both the natural world and the human experience, Park seeks to capture and encapsulate subtle but continuous changes in the evolution of emotions, memories, thoughts, and expectations.
A New York based artist born in Seoul, Korea, Park exhibits internationally and holds a BFA in Environmental Design from the Maryland Institute College of Art and an MDes in Interior Architecture from the Rhode Island School of Design as well as an MFA and BFA in Fiber Arts at Ewha Womans University, Seoul, Korea.
