The Gardens
The gardens at the Cahoon Museum of American Art are an immersive and charming setting situated behind the historic Ebenezer Crocker homestead, adjacent to the museum. Open seasonally from March through September, the gardens feature an Art in the Garden series with sculptures by local and regional artists. Past featured artists include Deborah Carter, Don Nakamura, and Diana Shobrys.
In 2022, the Cahoon Museum acquired the adjacent 1.9-acre property, complete with the 1739 Ebenezer Crocker house (not yet open to the public), outbuildings, and landscaped gardens, which expand the museum’s mission of creating meaningful and engaging experiences with art.
The Cahoon Museum owns two of six historic Crocker homes in Cotuit dating from the mid-to-late 18th century along what was the old stage road from Falmouth to Hyannis.
The Cahoon Museum’s gardens offer a place to picnic, relax, and take in the beauty of art and nature.
